The Humuhumunukunukuapapu'a, also known as Hawaii's state fish, has a unique narrative within the island's iconic symbols like hibiscus and mai tai's. The body is painted with acrylic and coated in layers of resin, while the fins were intricately shaped and melded to portray a sense of fluid motion. The side fin was welded to the body, creating an 3D effect. This original piece measures 16" x 6" and is made of aluminum.
